What’s the problem you’re trying to solve?
Today, people are increasingly confronted with a digital environment – whether this is at the workplace, during education or training or in their social environment. In order to be self-reliant and independent, basic digital competences (digital literacy) are required.
What are your goals and milestones?
The group “Digital Competencies” bets that up to September 2017 5’000 people have carried out an online assessment on their digital competencies. By April 2018 the number of participants has risen to 20,000.
What’s your approach?
An online tool is offered, which allows the participants to record anonymously the “maturity” of their digital competencies. Given the results recommendations on directories for digital educational opportunities, as well as a benchmarking to other already evaluated participants will be delivered.
What’s the impact your aiming for?
The survey is available to the entire population for the determination of their digital competencies.
The assessment can also be carried out independently of specific stages in the education system. The survey delivers a basis for discussion for what is meant by basic digital competences.
