A standard on real-estate models does not exist yet.
A digital modelling standard for real estates throughout the lifecycle of a building.
What’s the challenge you’re trying to solve?
Throughout the development of a real estate, many stakeholders interact using different plans of the same building, each according to their needs. This creates duplications and limits the potential for a smooth and effective work-flow. Also, a standard on real-estate models does not exist yet.
What are your goals and milestones?
The Construction Group bets that until September 2017 they have formulated the higher-level modelling goals, created a detailed standard for a modelling scheme by April 2018, and implemented a digital prototype by April 2019 to create a digital modelling standard for real estates over its lifecycle.
What’s your approach?
A digital modelling standard for real estates, that is used by all stakeholders throughout the lifecycle could solve that problem. This enables to continuously modify and adapt the plan to the builders’ vision and requirements. Switzerland has a highly qualified research and development competencies in the service sector that can create an internationally valid standard.
What’s the impact your aiming for?
From a modelling standard, the entire construction industry in Switzerland would benefit, especially property owners, planners, installers and operators thanks to the increased speed and efficiency.
